The start of the road racing season is just round the corner and before it comes the pre-entry race for places in the early season events.
The George Rooney Phoenix Grand Prix will take place on Sunday 21st February this year and will be kindly sponsored by Portview Fit-Out Ltd who specialise in high quality interior fit-outs for private and retail clients. www.portview.co.uk
As usual we will have a pre-entry on entrycentral.com which will open at 7pm on Tuesday 9th Feb and close on the 17th February on entry central. As entry is on a first come, first served basis with a limit on the entries for each race, riders are urged to submit their entry as soon as possible.
This year sign-on will be in the Crumlin Community Centre (BT29 4UP) from 9:30. As the Community Centre is now also a Leisure Centre there will be full changing and showering facilities available as well as refreshments before and after. The sign-on fee is £12 for everyone except juniors who pay £6. Juniors please note that, due to a glitch on entrycentral, you will have to pay £12 for pre-entry, please make yourself known at sign-on on the day and we will reimburse you the £6 difference; sorry for the inconvenience.
All riders must have the appropriate CI license card or print out from the CI website. One day licenses will be available on the day at a cost of €20 / £15 non CI members, €10 / £8 CI members without appropriate race licence.
No refunds for riders withdrawing will be issued.
Course details: The course will be the usual Nutt’s Corner > Seven Mile Straight > Long Rig Rd course finishing at the top lay-by. For a circuit map click here MAP
