Ulster CX rd 8 / Ulster Championships – Cookstown

Round 8 of the Ulster series was in Drum manor forest, Cookstown.  For second year the raced doubled as Ulster championship. It was a cool and breezy morning for the riders, not bad for the time of year.

Roger Aiken continued his dominance to retain his Ulster title.  Congratulations Roger. Glenn Kinning came in second with David Montgomery finishing third ahead of Ronan McLaughlin. Well done guys.

A stunning ride from Phoenix rider Rory Maguire saw him place 6th on the day and take silver medal in the Junior category.  It been a great series for Rory and this was a fitting result.

Phoenix took the team prize – Rory, John Bogues and Alex Donald.  John was first in the super-vets category.
